Product Safety Information for California Residents
As a manufacturer of industry leading dust collection equipment for over 25 years, Oneida Air Systems has always been deeply committed to the health and safety of our customers. In addition to the safety warnings and instructions included with our products, residents of the State of California can find detailed information on this page regarding Proposition 65 applicable chemicals.
Many Oneida Air products require this information because they are made from galvanized steel, which contains nickel in its manufacturing process. Though our products do not pose any hazard, they still fall within the requirements of the Prop 65 regulation.
Because our website lists multiple items per page, Oneida Air Systems is providing our customers with the ability to obtain clear and reasonable Prop 65 warnings for any product prior to completion of their purchase decision. Our retail channel partners have also been notified to ensure this information is displayed clearly on all product packaging seen in stores.

- What is Proposition 65?
- Proposition 65, officially known as the Safe Drinking Water and Toxic Enforcement Act of 1986, was enacted as a California ballot initiative in November 1986. The proposition protects the state's drinking water sources from being contaminated with chemicals known to cause cancer, birth defects or other reproductive harm, and requires businesses to inform Californians about exposures to such chemicals. Proposition 65 requires the Governor to annually maintain and update a list of chemicals known to the state to cause cancer or reproductive toxicity.
- Is a product safe if it carries a Proposition 65 warning?
- The purpose of Proposition 65 is to notify consumers that they may being exposed to chemicals that are known to cause cancer and/or reproductive toxicity. A Proposition 65 warning does not necessarily mean a product is in violation of any product-safety standards or requirements, it simply means that the material is present.
- Which Oneida Air System products have a Proposition 65 warning?

Because Proposition 65 mandates a warning regardless of how much of the offending material is present in the product, the majority of our products will have this warning.
- Nickel is present in any item made from or containing galvanized steel, which will typically include any product with assembly hardware (e.g. nuts, bolts, washers, etc.).
- Carbon Black is present in nearly all black plastic products as its necessary for creating static dissipative and static conductive materials.
- DEHP and/or DINP are present in many of our vacuum hoses as they are part of the durable, lightweight, and flexible construction of these products.
