These short sections of galvanized steel ducting are ideal for converting ductwork fittings (such as Aluminum Blast Gates and machine dust collection ports) to readily accept flex hose connections. Without an adapter, it can be quite difficult to secure flex hose onto raw (uncrimped) ports.
This adapter's uncrimped side will fit snugly onto 3" O.D. piping and should be held in place with machine screw or pop rivets. Oneida Air Systems recommends pre-drilling the holes before installation and using silicone caulk to ensure that the seal is air-tight.
