"It's important to understand the dangers of the fine dust that wood shops create. Long term exposure can cause serious health problems and that's why I use and promote [Oneida Air Systems'] products. Their cyclone systems are excellent at filtering out the fine dust particles that are dangerous for woodworker's health. "

– Andy Rawls, Fine Texas Woodcraft

5HP High Vacuum System Fan Performance Curve
OAS uses Actual CFM Ratings that reflect real-world airflow performance.

Continuously High Airflow Performance

Your dust collector should perform at peak efficiency at all times to ensure the health, safety, and quality of your work. That's why Oneida Air Systems uses only the highest quality motors with our dust collection systems. Far superior than the cheap, foreign imported motors used by other manufacturers, our industrial-grade motors are built to last a lifetime.

  • High-efficiency fan blower motor - Made in USA
  • Industrial-grade brushless motor designed for continuous duty
  • Wired for single phase power (3-phase options also available).
  • Delivers up to 2,150 Actual CFM at 2" S.P. - ample airflow for multiple woodworking tools at once.
  • Low pitch noise level provides ideal operator comfort
  • System's inlet and outlet rotate independently at 45 degree increments to suit your shop's needs.
  • Heavy-gauge steel fan housing, full seam welded, built to last a lifetime.

Ultra-High Efficiency Steel Cyclone Separator

Features Oneida Air Systems' unique long-tapered cyclone design that provides maximum pre-separation efficiency compared to the squatter cyclone designs of competitors.

  • Virtually eliminates filter clogging and suction loss to provide continuous suction performance.
  • Significantly extends the lifespan of the filter and reduces downtime needed for cleaning.
  • Large 8" dia. neutral-vane inlet for use with 8" to 6" ductwork layouts.
  • Industrial 16 gauge steel construction with full welded, airtight seams.
  • Durable, rust preventative, almond-white powder coat finish.

High Quality & Serviceable Filtration

The High Vacuum system uses spunbond polyester cartridge filters that are specifically designed for dust collection applications - providing unbeatable airflow and filtration performance - and are proudly made in the USA!

  • OAS fully stands by the quality and performance of our filters; each filter is sent to an accredited independent testing lab. Contact us for more information and documentation.
  • Wide-spaced pleating and non-stick PTFE membrane coating facilitates quick and easy maintenance.
  • Patented filter stacking system provides the filtration area of a single larger filter, but without the cumbersome weight and install, and provides additional savings when replacements are required.
  • Patented internal acoustic foam reduces noise caused by vibrating outgoing air by 1–2 dBa
  • Fine dust pan captures residual dust that falls off the inside of the filter. Can be removed easily for cleaning after reverse blowing compressed air into the pleats.
  • Includes Filter Efficiency Performance Gauge that takes the guesswork out of filter maintenance

Compact, Configurable Design

With its compact footprint, the 5HP High-Vacuum system can be configured to work easily into most ductwork setups. Designed for larger shops running multiple tools, this system can also be outfitted with different support systems and dust container configurations (e.g. splitter kit, hoppers, airlocks, etc.) - Call for details.

Please Note: The High Vacuum includes the Leg Extension Kit for use with the stand, allowing the height to be adjusted to accommodate 55-gallon drums and/or the drum dolly. See product documentation for more details.

How often should I clean the dust collector's cartridge filter?
This can vary widely depending on how often your dust collector is used and what kind of dusts it's exposed to but you should typically clean it only once you've noticed a considerable drop in suction performance. In our experience this can be around once per year, but with heavy amounts of sanding it could be as often as once per month. A meter such as our Filter Efficiency Gauge can also be used to monitor pressure buildup and inform you when the filter needs to be cleaned.
What do I need to know about NFPA regulations?
Fire protection regulations are a complex and ever-changing set of rules that differ from facility to facility. However, all of Oneida Air Systems' dust collector are NFPA Compliance Ready and we provide best practices and guidance for assisting customers - read our NFPA Reference Guide for more information.
Is this product compatible with Quick-Clamp Duct?
Yes but you will first need to install a Machine Adapter into the dust collector's inlet. These adapters are smaller on the raw end than traditional ducting so that they can slip into the ports on systems and tools i.e. a 5" Quick-Clamp Duct Machine Adapter will measure ~4.9" O.D. on the raw end.
Can I vent my system outside?
If you have conditioned air in your shop (heated or cooled), then exhausting outside can be costly. If your building is small and well-sealed, you can interfere with flue exhausts as well. Close neighbors might object. If the Dust Collection system is run intermittently it is generally not a problem. Most buildings have enough leaks and crevices where the aforementioned volume of air does not cause problems. If you have a problem opening or closing an outside door when the DC is running, crack a window slightly. The rule of thumb is for every 500 CFM have at least 1 sq/ft of return air coming back into the shop. A lot of our customers blow exhaust air outside successfully.
What dust can be collected with your collector?
Oneida Air Systems' dust collectors are designed and tested for wood and wood dust. They can and have been used effectively for various other debris, including drywall dust, paper dust, agricultural dust, and metal chips. Please note that some common materials when cut, ground or processed by machinery may become highly toxic, flammable, or deflagrable and explosive. Customers must ensure that their particular use of a dust collection system is in accordance with national, state, local, NFPA, OSHA and all other applicable codes.
Can this be used for wet applications as well?
No. This system is designed for use collecting dry materials only.
How do I troubleshoot an air leak with my cyclone?
Even a small leak can significantly affect the overall separation performance of the cyclone. If you can't audibly pinpoint where the leak might be coming from, one of the simplest ways to check for air leaks is with a smoke test. Click "Read More" for further instructions and tips.
My filter gauge is reading 3 and I just installed it onto a new filter - Why is that?
The actual number doesn't really matter. It will be higher when you have more gates open, more airflow through the system and thus more back-pressure on the filter. Click "Read More" for full instructions on how to read your gauge.
What are the dimensions for this product?
General system dimensions are shown in the Specifications tab on each product page. More detailed information can be found in the product's Owner's Manual, located under the Documents tab.
