The Backdraft Damper will help prevent leakage of conditioned air into/out of your shop. Any draft that attempts to enter from your dust collector and back into the ductwork and/or your shop will be stopped by the one-way airflow gate within the damper.
Upon powering on your dust collector the system's high air velocity will lift the gate allowing air to flow into the system unimpeded. When you are done using your system gravity will automatically pull the gate closed.
Hand-crafted from galvanized steel the Backdraft Damper attaches at or near your system's inlet and has virtually no impact on your system's CFM.
Please note the following prior to installation:
- The tapered end should be directed at your dust collector while the square end should point toward your machines.
- This product is designed to be used in a horizontal orientation ONLY. Do not orient vertically.
- This product is not an explosion isolation device.
