Compact HEPA-grade media filter installs onto the Molded Oneida Vortex DCS cyclone, filtering dirty air generated at the sander to provide a clean, healthy, and high visibility work environment. Features wide-spaced pleating with non-stick coating for quick and easy cleaning. Offers a lower profile design over previous Vortex filter designs and be retrofitted for some older systems with an adapter kit (sold separately).

Overview

Affordable & Serviceable Filtration for the Oneida Vortex® DCS

This compact and low-profile cartridge filter is for use with our Molded Vortex DCS Sander Cyclones (#VSKCSZ000B). It offers excellent HEPA air filtration without sacrificing airflow performance thanks to its ample surface area and specially formulated fiber structure.

Unlike competitive units, Oneida Air filters work at peak efficiency right out of the box, require zero pre-loading (seasoning), and can be easily cleaned/serviced. If clogged, simply blow compressed air into the filter's pleating from the outside in. The filter's wide-spaced pleating is coated with a non-stick PTFE membrane that allows for quick dust release.

Backwards Compatibility

This filter can be used as a replacement part for older (pre-2016) steel Vortex Sander Cyclones but requires the Vortex Filter Adapter (item #AXV000000) to mount the new filter to the older sander cyclone assembly.

This filter is not compatible with the older Oneida Vac® System that did not have the Dust Cobra Vacuum.

How often should I clean the dust collector's cartridge filter?

This can vary widely depending on how often your dust collector is used and what kind of dusts it's exposed to but you should typically clean it only once you've noticed a considerable drop in suction performance. In our experience this can be around once per year, but with heavy amounts of sanding it could be as often as once per month. A meter such as our Filter Efficiency Gauge can also be used to monitor pressure buildup and inform you when the filter needs to be cleaned.

How do I clean this filter?

When should I replace this filter?

With regular maintenance, our cartridge filters can easily last up to 5 years. Your filter should only be replaced if thorough cleanings do not help to restore your suction performance.
