How should I clean the filter on my Supercell?

Under normal operation conditions only the finest dust will get past the high-efficiency cyclone to the filter. The Filter can be cleaned easily with the Pulse Cleaning lever. This takes less than a minute. Pulse down the with the Pulse Cleaning lever frequently or after every use. Pulsing (reverse air) removes the fine dust from the filter. It will keep your system‘s airflow at an optimal performance level.

Upset condition: If the dust bin is overfilled and the filter pleats get packed with sawdust, the filter must be removed for manual cleaning.

There are 3 manual filter cleaning methods for the Supercell:

Method 1

Blow the filter from the outside with compressed air to dislodge dust between the pleats.
Caution: Don’t put the nozzle closer than 2 inches to the filter - damage to the filter can occur.

Method 2

Leaf blower.

Method 3

If the filter is really packed with dust, open the pleats with your fingers and blow the sawdust out directly with compressed air. Remember, don’t put the nozzle right up against the filter or damage to the filter may occur.
