The Dust Deputy can be used with any make, model, or size wet/dry vacuum with an inlet ranging from 1.5" to 2.5" in size. We recommend that it has an airflow rating of at least 50 CFM to ensure optimum dust separation performance.

The router hood includes a universal base plate that features multiple screw-hole patterns to fit nearly any portable router available on the market today. We provide a convenient, printable template (see Documents) that can be used to verify base plate compatibility. The outside diameter of your collector's barrel must measure between 14" to 20-1/4" for the filter bracket to fit onto. A base plate adapter is included with this kit to create a flat surface for the filter to mount onto if necessary. The barrel's inside orifice (which is usually smaller in diameter to prevent dust from below swirling upwards) cannot be bigger than 13" in diameter. If your shop has fixed piping that matches the diameter of your dust collector's intake, choose a cyclone that matches that diameter as well. The collector's horsepower and CFM do not affect the performance of the different models. For more details, click "Read More".

This product is designed for use with Oneida Air dust collectors with an external 18" diameter cartridge filter that is attached via J-Bolts to the plenum elbow; this includes all Super Dust Gorilla, Pro Series, Dust Gorilla Pro, and Direct Drive dust collectors manufactured after 2012. If you have an older system with a filter that is secured to the plenum via a threaded rod running through the center of the filter stack, you will need to purchase an additional 17" threaded rod length and a coupler (available at any local hardware store) to provide enough room to attach the Stacking Sound Filter. Please Note: This item is not designed for our High Vacuum systems, items #XXK050133 and #XXK050333, as there is not enough room to attach the sound filter when the system is mounted to the standard leg kit. Please refer to the 18" compact sound filter instead (item #BSS181000).

Yes; If you have room underneath the filter assembly (varies by model) then you can stack multiple sound filters, however, the resulting noise reduction per filter is not linear (additive) and is subject to diminishing returns. For example: 1 Sound Filter = 6-7 dBA total reduction 2 Sound Filters = ~9 dBA total reduction 3 Sound Filters = ~10 dBA total reduction 4+ Sound Filters = ~10 dBA total reduction
