Yes! Both our molded and steel Dust Deputy Cyclones use the same patented design to pre-separate dust and debris, protecting your vacuum filter from clogs and suction loss. The only difference between the cyclones is their durability. Steel cyclones are ideal for industrial applications with abrasive materials such as blasting sodas, glass beads, silica dust, etc.

Contents include the Universal Base Plate (side A & B combine), the Dust Dome (which encloses the bit), the Hose Connect Nozzle (w/ quick release lock), the Deep Chip Cover (for larger router bits), and the Shallow Chip Cover (for minimal space beneath the router). A lot of customers use PVC pipe, but we don't recommend using it. We would instead recommend using our spiral ductwork since it's pretty substantial. However, it has to be coated so that it will be rust proof.

The steel cyclone has a powder-coat finish, ensuring that it's durable and rust resistant, but if you expect to have your cyclone exposed to water on a regular basis (e.g. exposed to harsh weather, submerged in water, etc.) we recommend you find additional covering to prevent corrosion over time.
