We've heard from many customers who've had great success using a simple Wallpaper Roller to smooth out their foil tape, giving a very smooth, clean look on your ducting. The roller helps smooth out air bubbles and crinkled marks while making it easier to get those hard to reach places on hanging ductwork. We do not carry this product but it can be found easily at your local hardware store or home renovation outlet.

In addition to the cyclone and your dust collector, you will need a reinforced, airtight container to mount it to, as well as flex hose or piping to connect it to your tools and dust collector. The Deluxe kit includes the essential components, but you will still need flex hose and/or piping. Any connections should be sealed using silicone caulk or HVAC foil tape.Shop for Assembly Tools

Besides the standard tape measure, ladders, and any tools that maybe required for attaching hangers, all you'll need to install Quick-Clamp Duct is a saw (preferably a reciprocating/saws-all) to cut the duct for fitting to various lengths. But these are tools required by any ductwork installation. With Oneida Air Systems' Quick-Clamp Duct there's no riveting, no screws, and no welding required.

If you have conditioned air in your shop (heated or cooled), then exhausting outside can be costly. If your building is small and well-sealed, you can interfere with flue exhausts as well. Close neighbors might object. If the Dust Collection system is run intermittently it is generally not a problem. Most buildings have enough leaks and crevices where the aforementioned volume of air does not cause problems. If you have a problem opening or closing an outside door when the DC is running, crack a window slightly. The rule of thumb is for every 500 CFM have at least 1 sq/ft of return air coming back into the shop. A lot of our customers blow exhaust air outside successfully.

Apply conductive metal tape to the cyclone. For added grounding, attach a wire with a washer tied to one end when installing one of the bolts at the base of the cyclone. Click "Read More" for further instructions.

If you are connecting your cyclone to the dust bin via flex hose, you may also need a 6" Angle Ring Flange.
