After printing this off you can match the template to the screw holes on the bottom of your portable router to see if it matches. Make sure that you do not scale the PDF file when printing. There is very little difference between the two versions of the Dust Deputy Deluxe. The primary difference is that the "A" model contains higher-end, static conductive, hose components to prevent electrical charges from building up and discharging. We realize that this can sometimes be tough to fit the hose onto these ports. We have found that the quickest and easiest way is to pull it on using pliers, one side at a time, until the hose is covering the port by 1" to 2". Then use the hose clamps provided with the drum kit to secure the hose in place for good.

Horsepower isn't the best indicator for the strength of a vacuum system. The better metric to look for is the CFM (airflow rating) of your vacuum. The multi-cyclone design is ideal for vacuum systems (not dust collectors) with a CFM rating of up to 250 CFM.

The Super Dust Deputy 4" Deluxe is a special kit for smaller, personal workshops. The cyclone and the drum lid are a single molded component that provides an efficient, airtight seal with the drum. As such, the cyclone/lid piece is only compatible with the 14 gallon drum provided in the kit. If you have a need with a larger capacity drum, we would recommend using the 5" Super Dust Deputy cyclone and reducing down the inlet as you require.

The inlet of the V-3000 dust collector is 7" in diameter so we would recommend that you run 7" dia. straight pipe out from the inlet and then reduce down to 6" or smaller depending on the ductwork layout in your shop.

Our Snap-Lock pipe is pre-crimped on one end to fit easily into the inlet of our dust collector's. You would only need a Spiral Pipe (Male-to-Male) Adapter if you were connecting Spiral Pipe (or other non-crimped ductwork) to the dust collector's inlet.

The remote control keyfob uses an A23 type battery.
